UI-UX Engineer/Front-End Developer Part of a development team that is moving the NGA Foundation GEOINT production repository (Gateway) to a cloud environment, within a new Application Programming Interface (API) to significantly improve the adjudication time from weeks to minutes, automate the transfer of product data to the higher domains to eliminate repetitive loading processes, automate product ingest to reduce process time and modernize, speed, and simplify dissemination services. Key Achievements: * Conducting user interviews on the functionality of the existing application as well as documenting and rating results. * Creating a look and feel for the FGDRT modernized application from conception using interactive wire frames in Adobe XD and story boarding in MIRO. Translating and presenting high fidelity mockup flows to owners and stakeholders on a bi-weekly basis using Adobe XD. * Acting as a design/usability user interface architect and liaison for the team participating in all phases of the UI product development lifecycle. * Defining incremental test objectives. Writing and implementing guided and unguided test plans along with providing feedback evaluation forms. Working as an objective sympathetic voice for the user. * Scheduling and monitoring remote user test sessions. Documenting, identifying, prioritizing, and presenting required improvements for the product to be implemented by the development team. * Integrating responsive mockups approved by Product Owners/Stakeholders into React using React reusable, lightweight components, React icon libraries, and SCSS. * Running Docker desktop for the database and other backend repositories. Basic database works in SQL. * Working in the Git repository to pull, create, push, merge and delete Agile story branches using Git Bash and GitHub Desktop. Adhering to coding standards by writing code that passes Jenkins, a Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) system as well as Code Security in SonarQube. * Presenting UI/UX development in bi-weekly agile sprint meetings with over 10 teams to Product Owners/Stakeholders. * Using Scrum Agile Methodology for daily scrum meetings, Participating in Sprint, and Program Increment (PI) Planning. Story point value is done by using Planning Poker. * Managing Agile stories using Jira that includes creating epics, features, stories, and backlog grooming. Logging daily work and moving stories from backlog status to completed status. * Participating in Agile pair programming by alternating the duties of code writer and observer/navigator. * Creating spaces in Confluence for UI/UX documentation and uploads.
